The vision for our state and the answers to our most complex challenges must come from North Carolina’s citizens. Who better to help us tackle these challenges than our state’s future leaders?
Throughout the Summer of 2016, the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) will be offering age-appropriate programming for youth and young adults, third grade through early college. The Summer in the Commons program, in its second year, offers age-based curriculum and activities correlated with civic engagement and future jobs platforms. Provided with data and resources from across the state, student groups will use interactive touch screens to explore the big issues facing our state, while sharing their ideas for how to best tackle the challenges in their communities.
