Training Dentists for Rural Areas

There is a critical dental shortage in our state and ECU hopes its dental school will help fill the gap – particularly in rural communities. The school recruits students from historically underrepresented groups and areas who are interested in practicing in rural North Carolina. In addition to training in the school’s new state-of-the-art facilities, students have the opportunity to work the school’s ten community learning centers around the state to prepare for jobs after they graduate.
